David Fyrbach is a senior associate in Rowan Legal with significant expertise in international commercial arbitration, investment disputes, corporate law, banking and finance, business transactions and EU structural funds.David is a member of teams representing governments and corporations in investment disputes and international commercial arbitration proceedings. Recently, he has represented a Central European state in a dispute with an investor from the EU claiming expropriation as a result of change of legislation. Furthermore, he advises the State in a dispute concerning the denial of justice by government bodies within insolvency proceeding.In the past, he was involved - among others - in a commercial arbitration between a Czech projecting company and an Iranian producer of Ammoniac, a complex project of a German automobile holding company for IT outsourcing, a project of a foreign bank for credit restructuring and a project for setting up guarantee and credit funds. David is a member of the Young Austrian Arbitration Practitioners (YAAP), the Deutsche Institution für Schiedsgerichtsbarkeit (DIS) and the Deutsche Initiative junger Schiedsrechtler (DIS40).David graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Charles University in Prague and the Faculty of Law of the University in Passau, Germany. He joined Rowan Legal in 2007.
