David Casserly

David Casserly practises principally in the areas of sports, construction and commercial arbitration, appearing regularly as counsel before domestic and international tribunals, in particular the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). An Irish barrister and a New York attorney, Mr Casserly previously practised with the international arbitration department of a US law firm, interned at the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR) in New York, and acted as legal counsel and head of mediation at the CAS in Lausanne, during which time he also acted as legal counsel at the Commonwealth and Olympic Games. Mr Casserly is an accredited mediator and a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and acts regularly as arbitrator and mediator. He also lectures on sports law and arbitration law in Ireland, Spain and Switzerland.
