[email protected]Dan Perera is a partner specialising in energy, resources and commodities, and has been based in Singapore since 2010. His experience is industryfocused and comprises disputes and advisory matters within the fields of oil and gas (particularly LNG); the voluntary carbon markets; mining and metals (exploration, production and regulatory); and commodities and international trade. He regularly acts for oil, gas and carbon market participants in a range of complex disputes and commercial advisory matters, and is commonly quoted as an energy-focused legal expert in key trade publications.
Dan has conducted arbitrations under, among others, the SIAC, ICC, LCIA and LMAA, and the UNCITRAL arbitration rules. Dan is an experienced mediation practitioner, having handled numerous complex multiparty disputes.
Dan is admitted to practise law in England and Wales (2005) and New York (2006). He is a solicitor-advocate in England and Wales (2010), achieving higher rights of audience before civil and criminal courts, and the Supreme Court of Western Australia (2016). He is ranked in The Best Lawyers (2022) for Singapore.
