Claudio De Castro has been an associate of Arias, Fábrega & Fábrega since 2011. His practice focuses on litigation with an emphasis on commercial and civil matters and administrative cases, and he has also intervened in arbitration proceedings conducted under the auspices of, inter alia, the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce and the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes, as well as in ad hoc proceedings. Before joining the firm, Mr De Castro worked as a trainee in the international arbitration departments of Shearman & Sterling LLP in Paris and Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP in London. He also participated as an arbitrator in the Willem C Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna. Mr De Castro has a postgraduate degree in International Commercial Litigation from the Paris Est University (UPEC), a Master’s in International Commercial Law from the Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne University; and a Bachelor of Laws, suma cum laude, from the Santa Maria La Antigua University in Panama.
