Claudia Benavides is a partner at Baker & McKenzie. She heads the dispute resolution practice group of the Bogotá office. Claudia has over 15 years of experience in the field. She focuses on domestic and transnational litigation, local and international arbitration and other alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, representing foreign and local clients in complex disputes related to distribution agreements, infrastructure projects, stock purchase agreements, insurance, transport, unfair competition, real estate, loans and credits, energy and mining, insolvency, among others. Claudia is ranked in Dispute Resolution by Chambers and Partners Latin America and The Legal 500. Claudia is a lawyer and economist from Universidad de los Andes and holds an LLM degree in International Business Law from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Claudia has been a lecturer of various law courses and speaker at national and international conferences. She is currently a member of the list of authorised arbitral secretaries of the Center of Arbitration of the Chamber of Commerce of Bogota.
