Christopher J Gaspar is a partner in the New York office of Milbank LLP and a member of the firm’s litigation and arbitration department. Christopher has considerable experience in all aspects of US district court, appellate court, International Trade Commission, international arbitration and state court practice in IP disputes, including disputes over patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade dress and trade secrets. He has served as lead counsel to some of the world’s largest companies in their highest-stakes matters.
Christopher is consistently recognised by Benchmark Litigation as one of the leading lawyers in America for intellectual property. He also has been ranked each year as a ‘Patent Star’ by Managing Intellectual Property and as a leading practitioner by IAM1000 and The Legal 500. He is a frequent lecturer on IP and patent law, including invited speeches for the US Patent and Trademark Office, the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the Intellectual Property Owners Association, the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, and others. His articles have been published in the American Intellectual Property Law Quarterly Journal, New York Law Journal and Intellectual Property Today, among others. Christopher is an active member of the Intellectual Property Owners Association, the American Intellectual Property Law Association and the New York Intellectual Property Law Association.
Before law school, Christopher was an engineer for Boeing Commercial Airplanes designing flight-control and autopilot computer systems for the Boeing 777.
