[email protected]Besma Grifat-Spackman is a solicitor of England and Wales and a French-qualified senior associate in the London office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP. She is a member of the firm’s dispute resolution and international arbitration groups.
She has broad experience in international arbitration disputes, including arbitrations conducted under the International Centre for Settlement of International Disputes, United Nations Commission on International Trade Law, International Chamber of Commerce, London Court of International Arbitration and Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre rules. She has advised both international corporations and foreign governments in investor-state disputes and commercial arbitrations across a wide range of sectors, including telecommunications, oil and gas, mining and hospitality. Her experience also includes French and English court litigation.
She holds a postgraduate diploma (DEA) in international private and commercial law from the University of Paris II – Panthéon Assas and a Master in Management – Grande Ecole from ESSEC Business School. Ms Grifat-Spackman is fluent in English and French.
