Anthony Charlton is based in Paris, co-heads the Economic and Financial Consulting practice of FTI Consulting in France, and is a member of the firm’s global International Arbitration Team. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and an alumnus of two ‘Big Four’ accounting firms. Since 1996, Mr Charlton has specialised in the quantification of damages claims in international commercial and investment disputes, contentious valuations, post-transaction disputes, financial and fraud investigations, and other types of forensic accounting assignments. He has assisted many multinational companies and leading law firms, in a variety of jurisdictions.In the context of international arbitration, Mr Charlton has acted as a testifying or consulting expert in disputes before the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR), the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC), and Tribunals constituted under United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) rules.Mr Charlton has assisted clients in contentious matters in many different countries around the world including the United States, the United Kingdom, Eastern Europe, Africa, continental Europe, Scandinavia and the Middle East. His experience covers many different industry sectors including energy, manufacturing, hotel and leisure, telecommunications, construction, aviation, real estate, infrastructure, oil and gas, banking and materials. Mr Charlton received an honours degree in economics from Durham University.
