Alvin is a senior associate at Assegaf Hamzah & Partners. As a member of the firm's dispute resolution practice group, his practice area focuses on domestic and international arbitrations. He has particular experience in defending clients against annulment and setting aside petitions before Indonesian courts.

Alvin also regularly acts as counsel for clients in insolvency matters, both for debtors and creditors. He acted as counsel for a debtor, a plantation company, which successfully secured a settlement plan in a PKPU process for a total debt of US$350 million. He was also part of the team who rescued a state-owned enterprise from a PKPU process initiated by its creditor. And, from time to time, acting as counsel for offshore creditors in securing their claims in bankruptcy and PKPU proceedings in Indonesia.

 He also extends his expertise in advising clients on government contracts and compliance with the Indonesian anti-corruption and anti-money laundering laws. He is frequently involved in the dissemination of legislations, including the recent Indonesian government regulation on the reporting of money laundering by practicing lawyers and the Indonesian presidential regulation on the disclosure of ultimate beneficial owner in Indonesian companies.
