Aloysius (Louie) Llamzon is a partner at King & Spalding’s Washington, DC, and New York offices and a member of its international arbitration practice group. His practice centres on the representation of corporate and sovereign clients in commercial, investment treaty and interstate arbitrations. He has appeared before tribunals under the ICC, ICSID, UNCITRAL, SIAC, HKIAC and CRCICA rules in cases seated throughout the world, involving natural resources, energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, shareholder and financial services disputes in South East and South Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, Africa and Europe. He also sits as arbitrator.
Prior to joining King & Spalding, Dr Llamzon was senior legal counsel at the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague and also practised at leading firms in Hong Kong and Manila. He is a graduate of the Ateneo de Manila University (AB, JD) and Yale Law School (LLM, JSD).
