Tiago Duarte-Silva is a Principal at Charles River Associates, a PhD in Finance, and an adjunct professor at Boston College’s Carroll School of Management, where he teaches valuation. He has offered expert opinions or testimony in the US and abroad, in arbitration and in litigation in federal and state courts.
His expertise in commercial and investment disputes includes valuation and lost profits involving breach of contract, treaty breaches, expropriation, and temporary injunction, among others. Dr. Duarte-Silva’s experience also includes several years in equity research covering European and Latin American companies.
His case experience span various industries, including financial services, energy and natural resources, consumer products, technology, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, telecommunications, insurance, casinos, outsourcing, education, and distribution.
He is a native Portuguese speaker, conversant in Spanish, and has a reading knowledge of French.
