Patrícia S. Kobayashi is a lawyer and the Deputy General Secretary of the CAM-CCBC, Center for Arbitration and Mediation of the Chamber of Commerce Brazil-Canada, since 2012. She holds a law degree from the University of São Paulo (USP) and has extensive experience in arbitration as an attorney, case manager, as well as experiences as Secretary of Arbitral Tribunals. She contributed as a researcher in the first arbitration related survey on judicial decisions, conducted in 2007 by the Brazilian Arbitration Committee and Fundação Getúlio Vargas. She has published articles on the impartiality of the arbitrators and challenges; arbitral letter; arbitration clause and she is also regularly invited to give lectures in arbitration programs such as AASP (Association of lawyers from São Paulo) and PUC-SP (Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo).
Ms. Kobayashi is member of the Brazilian Bar (São Paulo) and organizations, such as the Brazilian Arbitration Committee – CBAr, the International Council for Commercial Arbitration – ICCA and the International Bar Association – IBA.
