Eric S Ng’maryo is an advocate in practice in Tanzania since 1987. He is also a commodity trader, a farmer, a grandfather and a creative writer. In the past year, he has devoted the bulk of his time to arbitration and is presently co-authoring a manual on Tanzanian arbitration law and procedure with Dr Wilbert Kapinga. Eric Ng’maryo believes arbitration is one of the most effective means of unclogging the large pile-up of civil cases in many African jurisdictions. He is determined to promote arbitration in Tanzania as a fast and efficient alternative to court litigation.
