Seumas Woods is a partner in the litigation
department at the Toronto office of Blake Cassels
& Graydon LLP. He holds law degrees from the Universities of
Saskatchewan, Toronto and Oxford, attending the last of those three
as a Rhodes scholar. Seumas specialises in complex corporate and
commercial, construction and securities litigation. He has appeared
at all levels of the Canadian courts, as well as before arbitrators
in both domestic and international arbitrations, and administrative
tribunals including the Ontario Securities Commission, the Canadian
International Trade Tribunal and the Competition Tribunal.
Seumas was co-counsel with Joel Richler on the MPI Technologies
Inc v Xerox Canada Limited case discussed in the 'Canada' article in
the 2007 edition of this publication.
