“Wrong seat” fatal to SIAC award, says appeal court

The Singapore Court of Appeal has barred the enforcement of a US$200 million SIAC award won by a gaming company against its former business partners in Laos on the basis that the arbitrators wrongly chose Singapore and not Macao as the arbitral seat.
