Sweetener dispute ends on sour note with "manifest disregard" ruling

In a decision described by Gary Born as a “real outlier,” a New York state court has partly set aside a US$100 million ICC award won by a South Korean food group, ruling that the tribunal "manifestly disregarded the law" when it rejected counterclaims brought by US company NutraSweet.
