Peru faces highway and energy claims

A subsidiary of a Spanish construction company has launched an ICSID claim worth more than US$100 million against Peru over delays to a project to improve a stretch of the Pan-American Highway – as the state is put on notice of another potential claim worth US$590 million by energy investors who say they were victimised by the country’s scandal-hit former president.
