Oil company wins US$39 million from Kazakhstan second time round

After losing its first claim at ICSID on jurisdictional grounds, an oil company that fell victim to a bitter feud in Kazakhstan's ruling family has won US$39.2 million out of nearly US$1 billion sought in a second claim at the centre, with the tribunal finding allegations of a campaign of harassment by the state to be believable but unproved.
