Kazakhstan says enforcing ECT award amounts to racketeering

Kazakhstan has alleged that attempts to enforce a US$506 million Energy Charter Treaty award against it amounts to “racketeering” – just four months after an English court ruled it was in the interests of justice to examine allegations that the award had been obtained through fraud.
