Hong Kong cherishes foreign lawyers, says Cheng – amid proposed restrictions

Hong Kong’s justice minister Teresa Cheng SC has told delegates at Hong Kong Arbitration Week that the special administrative region “cherishes” its foreign lawyers – but declined to comment on proposals by its law society to restrict the number of foreign qualified lawyers that law firms are allowed to hire.
