Dubai backtracks on ‘locals only’ law

The Dubai government has confirmed that foreign practitioners are permitted to act in arbitration proceedings seated in the emirate – responding to confusion over a recent ministerial resolution that has threatened to undermine the United Arab Emirates’ reputation as an arbitral hub.
