Colombia faces ICSID claim over illegal mining

UPDATED. An investor in historic gold and silver mines in Colombia has brought an ICSID claim against the state, reportedly seeking US$700 million damages for the government’s failure to evict illegal miners and control violent strikers and a guerilla group.
