Bolivian politician’s award survives US appeal

A US appeals court in Colorado has rejected a Mexican cement group’s appeal against the enforcement of a US$36 million award in favour of a Bolivian politician’s investment company – holding that the “best reading” of court proceedings in Bolivia is that the arbitrators’ findings on liability have not been set aside.
