Award against Equatorial Guinea upheld in France

Equatorial Guinea has lost an appeal over a €132 million ICC award in favour of Orange after France’s Court of Cassation rejected arguments that tribunal chair Horacio Grigera Naón’s role in another arbitration with the French telecoms group created a justifiable doubt as to his impartiality.
