Arbitrators fail to overturn conviction in Egypt

An Egyptian appeals court has upheld the convictions of two arbitrators over their role in rendering an US$18 billion award against Chevron – while calling for regulation to safeguard against purported arbitral institutions that have become “dens of fraud”.
