Vattenfall launches second claim against Germany

Sweden’s state-run power company Vattenfall has launched a second Energy Charter Treaty claim against Germany at ICSID, this time seeking compensation for the closure of the country’s nuclear power stations in response to the Fukishima crisis in Japan last year.
